Or how I learned not to do a major home remodeling project because of a piece of crappy junk mail.

In the mail was junk mail from Digital Promotions which says it had a client - UHR - doing a special promotion in our area. They must be a major marketing company because they do not have a website, and their email address goes to a promotions.marketing@comcast.net email address. All of the world’s largest Market research, market penetration and Product Promotions companies using comcast.net email addresses. No one has their own domain name anymore - its not what major businesses do.

If you do decide to call them at 888-802-9292 feel free to give them my special secret ubber code number - its N 200649

Am I one of the lucky 200,000 people you flooded the delaware valley with for junk mail in hopes of getting some business? Did you send out 10,000 flyers?

Also at that address is an attorney - David Michael Kaplan

Just how many other businesses are at this same location all trying to show you how credible they are so that you will use them for your home remodeling company? Do they really think that in this day and age a logo from the Better Business Bureau does them any good? If they do cheap stuff like send out this lme attempt to make you think your home might be selected for a major prize, people will post it on angieslist or on their own blogs.

Why would I risk a major home remodeling project on a flyer that told me I might be a winner in a contest for a major discount? Its junk mail, people know what it is. Has the financial market hit the home equity market so badly that these people are so desperate for work? I mean, how desperate do you have to be to set up a marketing company in your own office and make yourself your client and send out junk mail? Is it supposed to make you appear credible to me?

Be sure to tell Lisa Kelly the Promotions Manager that I really really believed the mailing was a lucky promotion and that I personally was going to get some really really substantial discounts if I let them come fix up my property. I was so close to believing this piece of junk mail.
