Starbucks review

Starbucks review

Its funny when you have a bad visit to Starbucks and out pops a survey form. You have to rate the one bad visit, but also temper it with all of the good visits. In this case, the new Starbucks on Pleasant Hill Road, Poinciana, FL 34746, store #13971, needs some spit and polish to the crew. Here we have a new location. The store looks great, it has a drive thru on the side of the road were all the morning traffic goes. It is a recipe for success. But the store is only as good as the weakest employees, or baristas, if I knew how to spell that word.

1st - I ordered a card reload for fifty dollars. It was reloaded for $15.00. After saying fifty a few times, this was frustrating.

2nd - The machines were down and they could not charge our orders, and this was while we were there with 2 cups that were messed up from our last two orders.

As for the bad orders, each was a latte for Anna. Her order is so simple, and important, that I even put it on her Starbucks card - WITH LOVE - rather then some stupid shitty phrase that no one will remember the next day, let alone years later. Anyway, I digress on my grief and heartache of getting a shitty Starbucks card from someone. Her order - Venti non fat latte, with 7 pumps of sugar freeĀ vanilla. Easy order. Some try and rename it to “7 pumpĀ vanilla skinny latte”, or such. I always correct them, and ask them to repeat it as I say it. She has gotten sick from people messing up the order and giving her sugar syrup or full fat milk.

In one case, they made the drink with no syrup and in the other made it with the wrong flavor. As my wife is a gastric bypass patient, she is very concerned about her drink being made with low-fat milk and sugar free syrup. When you get a drink and it smells wrong and tastes wrong especially from the wrong syrup, it ruins the entire drink. Should she drink it and get sick? We returned it and waited forever.

A note - the morning guy is a nice guy. And a bit quirky - A rabi from australia depending on his accent of the day and his name chaning from castro to something else. He is very nice at the drive thru. On this visit, while inside, he was taking a personal call to his rabbi in the customer seatting area, then walked behind the counter and made a comment about “of course, they always put the Jew at the window”. As fun as he is, I am sure someone might be offended by this.

This location could be perfect. It needs some spit and polish. As a new location, it needs its staff trained on the equipment. Does no one know how to ring up an order when a cash register is going slow? Not even the managers?

Thanks for the survey. As a customer that goes to Starbucks easily 30-50 times a month between my wife and I, this is a good location. It just needs things running better.
