IE7 on XP breaks Remote Assistance
As part of my current project to help a customer upgrade from Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) to Internet Explorer 7 (IE7), we came across this issue. Right now there is comments that this is a known issue, but no Q article that states this formally. Doing some testing, including a possible work around that says to create a seperate icon going to
hcp://CN=Microsoft%20Corporation,L=Redmond,S=Washington,C=US/Remote%20Assistance/Escalation/Unsolicited/Unsolicitedrcui.htm
Now this has not worked on 2 test machines, but a few people have said it works for them. A little more testing will tell.
