It is sad when someone is so upset with how their lives have turned out that they need to call total strangers. They think they are clever by looking up public phone numbers. Major Dick Tracy investigation work there.

Anyway, tonight was a little man so upset with how his life has turned out, that he has decided to call everyone on the Internet who he does not agree with. And challenge them on it. Three times he has called.

Now he has nothing to say. He just wants to repeat other people’s words, ask them back as a question, and have no real opinion on things. Why would they call me? Because they want to get my approval. I am the center of their world. They are my groupies. Little girls in tight shorts sneaking around when their mommies and daddies don’t know, and coming to see their hero.

  • Now, do they worship me? Of course they do. If they didn’t, they would not be bothering to read what I put down.
  • Now, do they worship me? Of course they do. If they didn’t, they would not be bothering to track me down and call me - we call it a simple search, but to them it is a long crusade
  • Now, do they love me so much? Of course they love me. If they didn’t, they would be with their own families, doing their own thing.
  • Why aren’t they? Because they have no where else to go, no one else to turn to, and nothing else to do.

To the three times tonight caller, I want to say, very clearly “I feel sorry for you.”

“In this day and age, you have nothing better to do, no other venue, no resources, no friends, no family, no career, no hobbies. Nothing to your life. But to make a random, anonymous call three times to cry about the Internet.”

I feel sorry for you. It is sad what your life has become.

Do you honestly think you could stand up in a circle of friends at a public bar, tavern or restaurant and say out loud, “Hey, this guy wrote stuff, and I called him and said ‘why did you write that?’ and have your friends high five you?” Is that what is considered greatness in your circle?

BTW, I write this now because you are reading it. Or you will read it tomorrow. Because you will be back. You cannot resist me, my writing, and my thoughts. I am excited to have you as a fan. You Steve, or whatever other fake name you want to use, are my fanboi. Tell that to your friends and see if they high five you :)
