Bob McNichol, blind since a 2005 explosion in an aluminum recycling center, believed he would be blind the rest of his life. It was then, however, that he heard about the procedure Osteo-Odonto-Keratoprosthesis (OOKP). If my Latin’s right, that
’s medspeak for “putting teeth into your head as fake eyes.”
Eye and vision stories jump out at me like the E on the eye chart. And this was rather interesting. I wonder why there was a need for the bone mterial today rather then a plymer made object which could get a better fit? Is it the wieght and density needs?
