2008 Kia Rondo FWD review - Hertz Five Star Club
Posted by Jim on February 6, 2008
Today I dropped off a Ford Mustang, made a joke about not wanting one today with the weather forecast. And I walk over and find myself upgraded to - another Ford Mustang. I felt the love on Monday. Winter storm warnings and a Mustang upgrade - I feel no love. So into the desk to get the car swapped out. They hand me the ticket to a Front Wheel Drive Kia Rondo. A rondo what? Yep, another car I have never even heard of. The car is very roomy. It has very good visibility, and in the snow and icy roads driving back downtown on Tuesday it handled just fine. Now on Wednesday the snow is still falling, a lot of it. I broke from tradition, and extended this rental to a second day.
The car is fine, glad to have it another day. And as a 2008 rental with only 5,378 miles it is in excellent condition interior and exterior. And it comes with the mandatory snow and ice scrapper.
NO JIM - you are missing out on a rental day for the 40 days to President Circle level with Hertz #1 Gold Club. Yes I know, I racked myself on the decision for awhile this morning. When I got tired of looking of pictures of the airport disappearing in the storm, I called and extended my rental. Then the next story was an accident in front of the airport and a highway fatality. Wise choice Jim.
