Zune - Academy Of Dreams commercial
If you have seen the currently airing Zune commercial with a guy sitting on a bus, going through a tunnel with bats, and ending in him jumping down into a trampoline, and wondered what is that song - here you go.
The guy is sitting on a bus watching his Zune player. As the music begins playing, he is transported inside the device. He is shown climbing into the ear of a giant statue of a head. There are the bats that initially I thought was a cave. Now several commerically aired versions such as on Adult Swim have this next portion shortned or removed for shorter play length. He then finds himself in a room lined with large photos of scenes that he is in. Other versions of him exit the pictures. They form up to allow the boy to climb up them and dive onto a netted type trampoline. When he lands on the trampoline he gets split into cubes, these digital pieces form into a pizelated image then zoom out to show an ice cream cone. As the view switches out of the Zune again we can see that he is watching an older Zune commercial and sitting on the bus again.
So who did the song?
Sleeping Lessons by The Shins
The lyrics used in the commercial are -
Go without,
Til the need seeps in
And glow,
Glow,
And spill it out in the ragged floor, (this is the line that attracked me to the commercial)
A thousand different versions of yourself
I figure Brighid can buy this on iTunes and I’ll make an .mp3 of the song to listen to. Or better yet, she can buy it on Amazon as an .mp3 already then we don’t have to play games with Apple iTunes format.

Interestingly, the song is not on the Shins myspace page, but rather on a fan page.

Thanks. Did she order it or is she waiting for me? If she is waiting for me, I would just buy it on Amazon as an .mp3 for the $0.99 and save me the hassle of converting Apples files
