-2°F Partly Cloudy Feels Like -26°F is the current conditions in Milwaukee, Wisonsin. Now why wasn’t it like this on Monday when our oldest was here for a college tour of Marquette University. The college tour went very well, and I would guess that this is one of the final schools on her list after our trip to University of Florida (The Gator Nation) and USF in March. Florida State University and the Seminoles offer a program cross town at Florida A&M, if she wanted to join the Seminole nation. but I do not know if that is part of our tours.
I was suprised about the Marquette UniversityJesuit education program - it requires students to take a Jesuit liberal arts core throughout the entire four years, not just a lame 101 class your Freshman year to pay lip service. The campus was nice, easy to navigate, and for the medium size of student population, it had a good number of resources. Like any big city school, campus security is a concern, was covered in the tour, and is visible all over the place.
Now we still have to get down to Florida for tours. I would like to see a list of the schools we are going to, and of course why, from her. Maybe one day I will get tired of making suggestions for her blog posts. Or I could just drop them on her blog as stubs or drafts. Any suggestions on how to get her to actually spend all of 45 seconds putting stuff down are appreciated.
