If you have seen the latest commercial for the U.S. Marines, “America’s Marines” especially on American Idol, you will want to see the extended version here.

The US Marines traveled to 15 different locations putting this great commercial together, so be sure to check out the full footage. Of special note is the ending scene. Not filmed in San Francisco, but at the Golden Gate park which the Marines get film on. The City of San Francisco blocked them from filming in the city if the U.S. Marines were present. I did not know San Francisco had left the United States of America, soil defended by all branches of the US Military. It might not be a bad thing if a number of them did. But leave the city and its bridge and its history, culture and immigrants who have come to love America as their new home. Just get rid of those who for some reason want to bash the place that is their home. Of well, only chickens and humans shit were they sleep.

Our oldest is interested in the USMC option of the US Navy ROTC. I wonder if she saw the commercial with her Mom on American Idol, or if she will see it here first.
