Patriots fumble to a victory
In a game that seemed shocking given their perfect record, New England just could not give the victory away today. Todays game was a great achievement on the books. but to sit and watch it was a different experience. Nothing shocking, no edge of the seat excitement. Just a really great team playing an okay game and walking away with a trip to the Super Bowl.
This sort of lack luster performance will not help them at the Super Bowl. But it got them there. Tomorrow we will hear the start of a long review of every game this season from passing to defense to kicking. But what matters is a great game for those fans who watch and route and get to sit at a restaurant or bar with the family and friends. We want to see something that makes us stand up and yell and cheer at a TV for a great play, an awesome recover, or a great pass that just makes you watch it hang in the air forever.
For those of you who expected that from Brady and Moss, well, I hope your buffalo wings and fries were enjoyable, and the beer was cold.
