A Christmas gift picked up

Loading ...One of the nicest gifts I got this year was an envelope with some cash in it. I am one of those people who appreciates people giving me anything, even cash with a nice note. I like to do my own shopping, enjoy the effort of trying to save money and stretch the gift to its fulliest, and the flexibility to get stuff I know I want or need.
This time I picked up a long awaited sequel on audi CD Ken Foilet World Without End. His original book, The Pillars of the Earth was an awesome read almost 2 decades ago. When the sequel was announced, it was funny to see the original on the Oprah Book Club pick list. But I have it, am going to enjoy reading - listening - to it for many hours. AND, when I am done, I get the joy of passing it on to someone else, or donating it, or selling it. And the gift of a book is something you keep with you forever.
