GoDaddy Wordpress issues

Apparently GoDaddy is having issues with WordPress. After trying to fix what I thought was my problem, I called in to open a support ticket and found out it was a known issue for a few hours know with a current ETA of 24 to 48 hours.

Sweet - glad I wasn’t planning on catching up on posts or doing any site maintanance during the holiday break this week / weekend while things are quiet.

In case it might still be your problem also check -
ftp - OK
web console - OK
access web pages not db driven pages - OK
Turn on the error log, access your WordPress site, then read the error logs and see a ton of there errors

  1. It has to do with WordPress, MySQL and GoDaddy - the error logs are full of

    and such errors

I do not have any other sites with GoDaddy that use MySql, but the MySql and PHP based db tools seem to be working.

  2. They upgraded? Are you using one of the webhosting tools auto install and update bundles?

If you can - get off of all of their preinstalled versions and do it yourself - cuteFTP, download the bits from here and be in charge of your own bits. It does require some technical work, but better to know what you have for your own benefit.

I honestly cannot think they that auto update those that preinstall though. That would be a pretty big leap.
