I’m moving my base of operations to Uedama, pronounced you da ma, similiar to you the man. Why move? Several reasons. My standing the the Kaalakiota Corporation is over 6.67, so I have no tax on reprocessing in their facilities. My standing with the KK is over 8.0 so I have a jump clone with them. Every agent in the KK is open to me. And most importantly, every Research and Development agent is open to me. R&D agents have always been my behind the scenes goal with the corporations I do missions with. It is something that if you ignore, you find out about later, and have to run missions up at lower levels to catch ground. R&D agents have requirements that not only include faction, corporation or agent standing, but a corporation standing minimum also. Planning helps for this.

So where did I move to? Uedama for its access to level II and level III agents in the Lai Dai Corporation. Lai Dai has always advocated quality over quantity and their products have always been of the highest standard. Lai Dai has an energetic research program and rivals the great Ishukone in technological achievements. You would recognize the system Uedama if you travel in Caldari space, since it is adjacent to Hotomo, Kusomonmon and Surokon. And a few jumps out from Jita and its massive market.

Kaalakiota Corporation is the largest of the Caldari mega corporations. The KK, as it is commonly known as, has its fingers in most everything. They are manufacturers, distributors, retailers and researchers, as well as being a formidable voice in Caldari politics. Their great rivals in both business and politics is the Sukuuvestaa Corporation.
