Beer

I don’t like beer and I don’t drink it. In fact my drink has been a Long Island Iced Tea or a tequilla. When that isn’t available, a cola. Up until last year. Now it is just water. Wether it has ice, lemon or plain. And drink at home lots of the 0 calorie iced tea mixes and pour the packets into bottles of water for flavor. This has started me also ordering a drink that is a blend of iced tea and lemonade called an Arnold Palmer.

So the other day while out at dinner, at the retaurant everyone was drinking drinks and wine, I had water. We went to a bar afterward and it was suggested I try a lemon beer. Everyone had one, so I gave it a sip and actually enjoy it. http://www.leinie.com/summer_shandy.html Summer Shandy

Asking at work to someone that brews beer at home, and another who is a beer and wine gourmet, I asked them about it. After some trying to remember the name we came up with it. So yesterday, we stopped after work at a local bar, they did not have the lemon, but had another flavored beer. http://www.leinie.com/berry_weiss.html Berry Weiss

Next time surrounded by drinkers, I’ll try and order one, and if it is not there, I can go back to my Arnold Palmer or water.

How many brands of beer does Leinenkugel brew?
We”ve tried hard to encourage folks to discover the refreshing world of beer for 140 years. We know one beer can”t fit the taste preferences of all people. But we do believe there’s a beer style for everyone’s enjoyment! The Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company brews 7 year-round and 3 seasonal brands of beer that reflect The Flavor of the Northwoods. The year-round brands are Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat, Honey Weiss, Berry Weiss, Red Lager, Creamy Dark Lager, Original, and Light. The seasonal brands are Leinenkugel’s Oktoberfest—available August through October, Leinenkugel’s Apple Spice — available October through December, and Leinenkugel’s Big Butt Doppelbock—available January through March. Leinenkugel’s has been awarded the most prestigious brewing medals for many of these brews.

We also continue to craft new beers—look for our new summer seasonal in 2007—as the art of brewing demands. Regardless of the style, each generation has worked hard to create high-quality, drinkable, refreshing, and distinctive beers that the Leinenkugel name has become known for.
