Day 14 - Wednesday
Two full weeks they have been gone. They should be off the ship by now.
Breakfast was milk and mini bagels.
I took granuaile to her grandparents to watch so I could work out in the yard without worrying about her.
I got home in time to see the truck start to unload flowers. All the plantings are done in the beds:
Front corner has red, purple and white, in sets of 3, on Lewis and Maple ave side - 18 8″ pots total
Dining room window has the least - 3 red on one end, 3 purple in between the bushes, and 3 red and 2 purple at the front door
Kitchen window has 3 red and 3 purple on each side, and 6 whites in the middle
Garage bed - this has red, purple and white, on each end and underneath the tree that flowers but I don’t know it’s name or what color. i want to say purple and I can’t remember the name of the tree.
I pulled all the first mulch out from under the swing set and replaced it with the cedar bark mulch in a 4″ depth. It looks great underneath the swings. The extra mulch I spread out around the back yard and filled in the fence inside and outside along the driveway. Gone are Rosies peep holes to the outside. I know I wanted Anna to make up her mind about rocks or mulch and plants, but I dont want her to come home and see the gaps, holes and rocks just sitting ther. Better a little mulch now and a decision later.
I finished cleaning out the florida room and the garage. The trash line on the curb is almost 20 feet long. Any questions about where something is are answered by that statement in my house. If they had wanted it, it would have been put away, or boxed, or stowed in a neat and organized fashion. Throwing stuff on top of other stuff in a pile tells me that you do not want it. When Christmas stuff is put on top of that, it tells me it is trash. End of subject. Pick up your shit. Your shit goes in your room. It is an easy and simple rule to follow.
I picked up the baby and she conked out before we drove a mile. I grabbed her the chicken and chocolate milk again and me chili. She finally woke up at 8, ate some of the food, just wanted to cuddle, and fell back asleep. I put the last bag of trash outside at 11PM, finally ate my breakfast, lunch and dinner. Been a long day.
