Back home today from a week in Stamford, CT, Stayed at the Marriott - nice hotel, been there before. Easy to get to, parking in the attached garage is fine. Television channel selection is strangly limited - very limited. High speed internet and unlimited long distance and local calls. The pool is very nice, and when Anna and I stayed, it was open to swim inside and outside. It was fun for us and the people sitting outsde at night by the pool. The gym is small and tight. And for soom reason, the personal tv’s kept changing channels for no reason. Remote conflict, numping on the machines, or staff jokes. Room service had a special every night, a soup du jour, and was very fast. Strangly, without asking, on the 2nd and 3rd night, they included a white chinese take out box full of M&M’s. If this is a house custom, I don’t know why it did not make it on the first night.

On check-in, I was offered a gift selection. I picked a movie. I watched BORAT. Unfortunately, the TV VCR copntrols did not work, and I had to reorder it to let it play while I went to the gym

Turndown service was asked for, and missed. Called to remind and it showed up then missed again. Had to call again for them to show up. Then they did the bed and left skipping the bathroom. Every night I put in 2 wake up calls. Most mornings I got 1, and one day 2 of them.
