Christmas Trains - Part III
The track is complete, the power is connected, and the train goes round and round…finally. The engine does not go in reverse and needs about $40 worth of parts and labour…after Christmas. The extra track I picked up got used. About half of it. I could make a larger oval or a large figure eight, but Anna does not want it sticking out any more then it does now from underneath the tree.
The station house? Connect it to the track and it sounds the siren. All the time. It has a short, and once connected to power, off it goes. So it is back in the storage tub with the broken roof.
The kids? The little one stood there saying toot-toot
Wish I had the video camera handy, or had snapped a cheap video with my phone. I think she might do it again…I hope ![]()
The middle one - she loved it, and wanted to play all over it. It might be worth a stop at the train store with her to look for something that is her’s to put on the track or around it.
The oldest - she was entertained helping me get it working, then left me for other things.
My wife - she was tired of the noise the train makes going around before it finished the first loop. With nanny over for chili dinner, Anna had me shut the train off after a few minutes. You can tell she got dolls as a kid and never a train set.
