The large box to the right of the screen - the Overview - is your window into the world around you in EVE Online. Spend a few minutes learning what it can do, and instead of seeing a huge mess of data and a few specs of information, it can become a vlauable tool for your gaming adventures. It can help you make more money in game. And it might just save your life.

In the Overview you see a large white triangle. If you click on it and select Overview settings, you can make a customized overview setting such as “Mining High Value” and set it to only display ore’s above Scordite. Next time you fly into a belt or a mission that has asteroids in it’s area or deadspace pocket, flip it on then off. This will help you instantly decide if you want to finish the mission or come back when the rats are dead and do some mining for all the easy high value ore’s to gather. Also, missions can be active till they expire in 7 days generally. A mission with a high value ore spawn, such as 450,000 M3 of Kernite or Omber or higher, can be farmed every day. At down time the mission will reset itself, and you can come back, clear the rats for another bounty and all the loot them drop, and then go back to farming the missions ore.

A single mission can change from a 25,000 ISK reward to millions of ISK with just the flip of a switch. And that is today’s EVE Online Tip of the Day
