Todays Gaming Online tip of the Day for EVE Online is about agent offers. As you do missions for an agent, you will accumulate Loyalty Points (LP). Every day they will check to see if they want to make you an offer. It is random, but all agents pull from the same pool, regardless of divion, corporation or faction. Special items like a Navy Caldari ship will obviously only come from a Caldari agent. But an equivilant item from the other races is what a Minmitar agent or Amarr agent would offer you.

What offers should I reject?: Reject all agent offers for mining crystals, slaves, small arms and drugs. If the value of the offer combined. That means the LP’s, ISK, and any items is less then just buying the item on the open market, reject the offer and hold out for the bigger prizes. If you are almsot done with an agent, start looking harder at the offers as break evens or even just the costs of ISk and items. Loyalty Points do not transfer form agent to agent, and become of no value if left sitting with an old agent you no longer use.

What are LP’s worth? They are worth nothing to anyone else but you. But when evaluatign an offer, try to price them at 1000 to 2000 ISK per LP. If any agent says you can have the box of XXX for 1000LP’s, make sure it has a market value of 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 ISK. For those of you who have trouble with math, there is a calculator in game in EVE Online. But just add an extra set of 000’s on the end and multiple by 2.

Can I do anythign to get more LP’s? Yes, under the Social category. every agent belongs to a division. Each division has 2 Connections books that will get you a greater LP reward per mission completed.
