ORIGINS 2006 - Friday trip
I have been invited to a meeting with a major game publishers offices for afternoon interviews. I was at the airport just before 6 AM for a 7 AM flight out of Port Columbus Regional Airport (CMH). A quiet flight let me catch up on my sleep. The only interesting event on the plane was the baseball team flying with me that was informed their personal bags did not make it onto the plane do to weight restrictions.
Landed, hopped into a cab, and was at the game publisher’s offices. After getting settled in, and catching up on email, I was doing introductions, was taken to lunch and then sat down for a series of interviews, chats on what we are doing, and the current state of the industry.
A trip to the airport, dinner while waiting for my flight, then back on a plane to Port Columbus - CMH. When we landed I call Pugilist to make sure they where still at the convention center. Down to the taxi cab stand, and over to the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
And my timing was excellent. I was able to play a multi-card hand of Death by Dice and had a long and interesting discussion on gaming, the gaming industry and marketing with the folks from Cheese Weasel.
We left the convention center just before midnight, grabbed some Mickie D’s and hung out in the lobby reviewing each others exciting day. Look for more updates as soon as the NDA is lifted from my trip. Pugilist and company have been posting all of their reviews and activities so check them out!
