The Magic Kingdom

We got here early, skipping breakfast, so we could bit some of the heat and the crowds. The oldest was once again back in her room stuck doing remedial algebra problems. The middle one was screaming “I want to go to Universal” and Disney Anna kept right on marching into the Magic Kingdom.

It’s funny that word Disney Anna - it’s the name of the convention for Disney collectors to trade and sell and swap and talk about all things great about Disney. I think they spell it differently, but it is now from this point forward my nickname for my wife - she is going to be pissed when she reads this blog update later.

The middle one is in that odd stage where her mother is telling her how tall she is, and she knows that to ride the roller coaster of death complete with stap on barf bags you have to be as tall as she is now. But she is also in that age where she does not understand that her Dad does not want to deal with the hysterical little girl screaming in terror on and after some rides. Some Mom tries to be sweet and I have to be reality.

Big Thunder Mountain yes, Kali River rapids yes, Space Mountain not yet and Splash mountain,a maybe.

So what did we ride today?

  • Monorail (hey its a ride - and you can sing the por favor song)
  • Splash Mountain was just running water so we walked past
  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • Splash Mountain was running empty cars so we moved on
  • Haunted Mansion not open yet
  • Carousel, walked right on
  • playground for 20 minutes with three times come on and her running back into the water jets. As cute as this is to watch it’s the hard part of her age letting her do these things and having to deal with the tantrums when she can’t ride Tower of Terror
  • Barnstormer - she is to old mentally for this, but its a cute ride and it counts as a roller coaster. I don’t think she will let me put on her on this anymore except with her little sister
  • Buzz Light Year fast pass was 50 minutes
  • Tomorrowland Transportation - this is slow, but its fun, let’s you see inside the rides and burns off some time
  • Carousel of Progress - Eilis loves this revolving show/ride

We used our eazy passes and then left to go eat lunch. The grandparents called and wanted to eat lunch since they had tickets to a play tonight. Lunch at Jungle Jim’s then off to the pool for the rest of the day.
