Hmm, lots to update here - problems., hassles, garbage, and new phones ordered.
So a few months back I had enough listening to the problems my wife and daughter had with their Motorola. I called in about ordering new phones and switching them over to Cingular and a family plan for all three of us. A friendly rep explained to me that both of their phones are still covered on an all inclusive warranty with $0.00 deductible. So I put in support calls and was told that I would be getting Motorola MPX-220’s since the 200’s were discontinued and had numerous problems. Sweet. I need to give them both phone serial and all the othe rnumbers. Crap - I was at work and did not have both my wife and daughter’s phones with me.
Later that night I get the phones, call back and get the first of many bad draws in the lottery for customer service reps. This time, like many more calls to follow, I got someone who was following a script, spoke with a heavy accent, and every other word was “We want to thank you for called Cingular and we value your business as a customer” - Annoying after the second time, fuel on the fire after the 12th time. My daughter read me the numbers, and the rep argued they were not good. ARGGGHHH. I went upstairs, got my oldest out of bed to read the numbers again, and now the rep says they are sending me 200’s. After a few back and forths, I figured screw it, I will call back the next day.
The next day I roll the lottery and get another heavy accent -
