Brighid burnt
So opening day of Harry Potter and the goblet of fire - November 18, 2005 This is a late post, but still funny and worth making a note.
I asked my wife if I should get tickets to the opening day, pick up the oldest and take her to the movie as a suprise. She did not know, but said it would be a good idea, but up to me. She wanted to go out to the movies. So I came up with the best solution - I went online and bought two tickets. When my wife picked up our oldest from high school she waited to she was in the car and they were driving home and they had this little conversation:
My wife: “Dad bought two tickets to Harry Potter for tonight. Are you excited?”
Oldest daughter: “Oh yes oh yes - WOW - this is great!!”
My wife: “Yes, I know I am excited also”
Oldest daughter: “Why are you excited?”
My wife: “Because your father is taking me to the movies and dinner for a date tonight and you get to stay and watch your sisters”
The pissed off look she got from our oldest daughter, oh I wish I had a picture of it.
Well we had a nice night out including the movie and dinner. And of course we repeated the story above to each other while driving around because it is just too funny.
