Sunday dinner
So Friday was my wife’s birthday and she got taken out to dinner while her step mother watched the kids. Saturday became her birthday weekend and her mother watched the kids. Sunday she realized was still technically the weekend so she got a third birthday dinner this time with the kids and her step mother. We went to Buca di Beppo http://www.bucadibeppo.com/
I have been to the on in Seattle, WA 701 9th Avenue North (206.244.2288) many times and I have to thank Barbara Decker who worked for Microsoft at the time. She is a great lady, a class act and it is ashame I have not seen her in a few years. She was a real gem and a star in the Microsoft Certification And Skills Assessment (CASA) team. We still have Barbara to thank for our second child. She had work for me in Redmond and my wife and I drove out there and conceived her on the way in beautiful Beaumont, Texas. YEE HAW we got us a Texan in the family!
Anyway, I have never been able to get my wife to the restaurant for one reason or another. Everyone had a great time. Go figure. The charm at Buca di Beppo is watching someone for the first time look at a menu and order something only to be told its for the table to share and their eyes widen at the prospects of a buffet at your own table of great cooking.
With the texas kids crayons ( see it had a reason) I wrote all over the table arrows to my wifes chair and IT’S HER BIRTHDAY!
She was not amused and got red when the candelabra with 3 real lit candles landed in front of her. And out came the singing of Happa A Birthday To A You A from everyone.
Food excellent and huge portions. Deserts great. Atmosphere fun and something to keep you looking at all the time you are there. Deserts were droooll droooll good. And to top it off they booked the oldests confirmation luncheon, they like it that much.
