WOW!. Such a nonstop high energy event with a ton of demos and details on Windows Vista and Office 12. The keynote was visi ble to the outside world but the Bill video was blocked - anyone have a link for that video to share with those that missed it?
Someone had to have been there with a webcam on a laptop and recorded it.
A lot of detail on Windows Vista, and everything was working on it including the Office 12 demos.
Windows Vista brings back the Sidebar and its sticky visual objects called gadgets (like something, a clock, something else), which were dragged onto the desktop and funtioned there also
With the news articles and issues around Microsoft trying to take over RSS, it was used by everyone from Bill Gates down - RSS this, RSS in Windows Vista at the a low level, RSS working in Office 12, Internet Explorer continuing to grow its support - but the phrase was RSS not a different brand name
A new tabbing feature taking advantage of the preview function and as users and applications expand on it - the additional attributes of files for faster nd deeper search and preview - Gone is the tabbing between application look were everything is just a Word icon
A demo of features on the Windows Presentation Foundation and ASP.NET 2.0 which I would expect to be covered in more detail the rest of the PDC
