Trip Report - no scuba diving
Well between Hurricane Katrina, the reduced visibility, and the bands of trailing thunderstorms, I cancelled my 2 days of scuba diving this trip. Its always a pleasure to talk to Mike Olson of The Scuba School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I have dove with Mike, and talked and shot the breeze many times. More then he cares to remember. If you want to go diving in Florida, I urge you to talk to Mike. He can take care of your entire diving needs from learning to dive, open water certfication, recertification, beach dives, boat trips, gear, rentals, and dives from Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale to Miami and down into the keys.
I am biased in favor of The Scuba School since it is where I became a PADI Dive Master, did a weekly spearfishing club, and on busy weekends did as many as 12 dives. While you are there, check out the FBI stake out across the street watching the area - always a fun tourist attraction
