Beware JConnect and credit card fraud
My wife received a call from an online consumer electronics store, someone tried to order a camcorder, which was declined for invalid address and phone number. So they called to let her know, and of course she got on the phone to the credit card company. The other charges where $1 verifications, which they dont have details on yet, and an outfit called JCOnnect in CA. They do fax services and I guess bougs numebrs for people. But in the same address area as where the camcorder was going to be shipped.
A call into JConnect got a professional menu system which connected you to someone with a bad accent on a cell phone. He agreed to process the credit only if she provided additional information
HAHA
Even the credit card company on the phone told him to process a credit now or they will decline the charge as fradulant.
So beware of JConnect and their questionable business practices around handing calls reporting credit card fraud.
