TaxCut - may we bend you over for an additional $11.95?
So you get to the end of the 2004 TaxCut Federal and are asked about electronic filing.
It costs $15.95, and you are presented with two options - Easy Pay for an additional $11.95, your refund goes to an HSBC Bank USA, National Association account, they deduct the $11.95, then send the money onto your regular bank account.
Or use a credit card
Um, thanks, but I’ll not get raped by TaxCut because I have a credit card.
Just what segment or demographic is TaxCut trying to steal people blind here?
The stupid or quick reader who thinks Option 1 only costs $11.95, instead of the higher $15.95?
Those without credit cards? But you might say “Of course, they probably dont have a PC and Internet access to file electronically” - Oh you would be wrong there. Many people can pay cash for items but dont have a credit card. Can pay their bills, but have no available credit cards to charge the fee.
