Everquest II site thoughts
Well, time to start working on the EQ II skin for the web site. I am still unsure which approach to go for the site and its purpose. We are still deabting a page for every single quest - this would mean hundreds of pages in the web site - and allow for user submitted pictures and content ala Maggie the Jackcat, or a more informative but mostly descriptive site as we have with the City of Heroes site. tThe CoH dynamic missions and no inventory lends itself to a more static approach. There is no one coming to the site and asking “Where can I find a piece of jewelry for a mage?”. To be able to handle questions such as “I am in xxx, what else can I do here?” and I am in xxx, what else should I be killing here for drops or rare items?” Plus the ability to have user submitted information and pictures giving them full credit is another big plus. As for the skins, which was the start of this ramble, I need to white board this out and get consensu then spend next week finishing it….
